Algeria is a beautiful country but they don’t do “Customer Service”. Here is a conversation I once had with Reception in one of the most prestigious hotels:
Receptionist: Yes?
Me: Can you please send someone to stock the bathroom with towels, soap, and toilet paper?
Receptionist: okay, okay, we have had a long busy day
Me: So have I. I need these things now
Receptionist: It is not easy for us, we have to look after other guests and everyone wants service now, this is a hotel not your home
Me: Oh, I am sorry, how thoughtless of me! Can I go get you a cup of tea or something?
Receptionist: What?
