Airlines give First & Business Class passengers various advantages to justify the exorbitant prices they charge them for basically getting to the same place at the same time as everyone else at the back of the bus. Privileges include private lounges, sitting in the front of the plane, cloth hot towels, food served in non-disposable plates, cups, glasses etc., as well as the most useless of these privileges which is to attach to your luggage a tag that says: PRIORITY on it.

The Priority tag is at best worthless and at worst it is alerting dishonest and disgruntled baggage handlers to mistreat your property for belonging to a rich person they despise.  I say worthless because I have never, ever had this stupid tag on my luggage and had my suitcase arrive at the carousel earlier than the non-Priority luggage.  All the advantages you accrue by leaving the plane first are wiped out by having your suitcase arrive at number 237 or later.

Come to think of it, the tag says “Priority” it does not say “High” or “Low” so, I suppose it is open to interpretation.
